Dear editor

I am writing to you in reply to Victoria Kahl’s letter which you published on 7 May.

Read: A regular and reliable bus service is needed in Biddenham

May we be the bringers of good tidings to Victoria and those who live on the No. 41 bus route between Bedford and Turvey?

From 3 June there will be an additional bus on the 41 route, which will run between Bedford and Turvey and give those en-route an approximate hourly service. The exact timetable is already on the website of Stagecoach East.

For the last two years, my wife and I, have been campaigning to improve the service provided on Route 41. We have contacted anyone and everyone who could influence an improvement to the 41 service.

Our suggestion to Stagecoach that they reintroduce the Turvey Loop (Bedford to Turvey) in addition to the current Bedford to Northampton route has now been agreed. This has been accepted and will form part of the revitalised 41 service.

Unfortunately, still no Sunday service, however, the last bus into town [on other days] from Victoria’s stop should be as late as 8.45 pm.

Melvyn and Shirley Spencer,
Quenby Way,
Bromham
