General Competition and Prize Giveaway Terms and Conditions

- Employees of the promoter and supplier/s of each competition and their families or anyone else professionally connected to the competition are excluded from entry.
- Entry implies acceptance of these and competition-specific terms and conditions.
- For competitions and prize giveaways that allow people under 18 years of age to enter: If are under 18 years old, you represent and warrant to us by entering this competition that your parents/guardians have consented to your entry and to these rules, which they have read.
- For competitions and prize giveaways for people aged 18 and over: Proof of age and identity may be required.
- All prize draws are governed by English law and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with it.
- By entering any competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by our general and competition-specific terms and conditions.
- It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the prize promotion and acceptance of the prize. The promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
- The promoter’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The promoter and or supplier reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances outside its control make this necessary.
- The promoter reserves the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and to withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these or any specific competition’s terms and conditions.
- The names of the winners of any competition can be obtained by sending an email 28 days after the prize promotion closing date and for up to three months, to admin@BedfordIndependent.co.uk.
- The promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants that it regards as being in breach of these or any terms and conditions or the spirit of any promotion. Those who try to circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
- Where a prize is provided by a supplier, the promoter accepts no responsibility for the inaccuracy of any prize description, and the supplier is responsible for prize fulfilment.
- If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these, or any, Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
- The promoter and the supplier reserve the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid entrant disappointment.
- The decisions of the promoter are final and binding in all matters relating to any competition or promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The competitions and promotion and these terms and conditions, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.
- Data Protection: Any personal information that entrants share with the Promoter will be kept secure and only used in line with these terms and conditions unless the entrant has opted into future marketing from the promoter and/or the supplier. By entering the promotion, entrants agree that their information may be used by the Promoter to administer the promotion and winners consent to giving their names to the winners’ list. Signing up for our daily email is not a condition of entry for any of our competitions or prize giveaways.

Bedford Summer Sessions indie business riddle ticket hunt

- 9am to 11am: Two tickets with Retreat upgrades for Deacon Blue, with special guests Lightning Seeds.
- 11am to 1pm: Two tickets with Retreat upgrades for UB40 featuring Ali Campbell.
- 1pm to 3pm: Two tickets with Retreat upgrades for Bedford’s own Tom Grennan, with support from Brooke Combe and Fiona-Lee.
- Sunday, 14 June 2026
- 10am to 12 noon: Two tickets with Retreat upgrades for Paul Weller, with support from Miles Kane.
- Saturday, 13 June 2026
- Open to entrants aged 18 years and over.
- Winners will be determined by the first person to solve the riddles posted to the following social media pages:

Philharmonia/Winnie-the-Pooh ticket giveaway
