The Bedford Independent Awards may have been postponed due to the pandemic, but it has allowed us to add two new categories, to find the Borough’s ‘Covid Heroes’.
Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, individuals, businesses and organisations rose to the challenge and we’d love to take the opportunity to reward them.
If you know someone who helped out their neighbours, set up a support group, adapted their business to continue reaching their customers or helped raise a smile during such challenging times, we’d love to hear about them.
The Bedford Independent Awards are in partnership with the Harpur Trust and will celebrate the everyday heroes in our midst. The ceremony was due to take place in September 2020, but has now been postponed until Spring 2021.
The two new categories are:
COVID Hero – Individual
This award honours an individual who has gone above and beyond in any capacity during the pandemic
COVID Hero – Business/Organisation
This award honours a business/organisation who has gone above and beyond in any capacity during the pandemic.
The deadline for nominations is 30 November 2020.
From community campaigns to thriving businesses, the Bedford Independent Awards will recognise organisations and individuals who make Bedford brilliant.
This isn’t a popularity contest, so one nomination is adequate. The quality and content of the application will determine if the nominee progresses to the finals. You can nominate yourself or your organisation or be nominated by others.
By entering you agree to be included in all publicity including, but not limited to, your name and photos.
This event is brought to you by the Bedford Independent and is possible thanks to our headline sponsor The Harpur Trust.
Host sponsors are Bedford School who are joined by category sponsors: Bedford Heights, Brewpoint, Eagle Brewery, Quarry Theatre, Woodfines Solicitors, White Hart Press, Bedford Swan Hotel and Explore Bedford.
