We have several exciting vacancies which we are currently recruiting for and feature a few of them here.

Infrastructure Project Managers

Our Infrastructure Project Managers lead the successful delivery of infrastructure development projects critical to ARA’s future.

Working to understand our business requirements and ensure our projects are well-founded before they begin is a critical part of the role. The Infrastructure PM acts as the prime point of contact with project sponsors and internal client representatives, equipment and service providers, and subcontractors.

This role demands creativity with excellent project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills and a mature, confident sensibility.

Mechanical and Electrical Technicians

Our Mechanical and Electrical Technicians work as part of our Engineering Services team and are responsible for the maintenance of our plant – much of which is vital to keeping one of the most important wind tunnel facilities in the UK up and running.

The roles include carrying out planned inspections and maintenance of equipment; fault-finding and emergency repairs; operating and monitoring as well as installing and commissioning of plant; and leading continuous improvement projects to make our operations more reliable and efficient. This role requires a positive attitude, flexible thinking and great team-working.

Metal Model Technicians

Our Metal Model Technicians are highly skilled individuals working within our Design and Manufacture team creating high-value components and assemblies which are used in aerospace tests at ARA and around the world.

This is a varied role requiring multiple skills including CNC programming, setting and operating; bench fitting of components and assemblies; and an understanding of complementary skills such as EDM and turning.

This role requires flexibility and effective team-working along with a desire to learn new skills.
