Swan Theatre Company present the final production in their 2018/19 season, Amy’s View by David Hare (Racing Demon, Skylight) directed by Paul Frecknall.
Originally staged by the Royal National Theatre in 1997, before transferring to the West End in 1998 and Broadway in 1999, Amy’s View is set in 1979. Esme Allen (Jo Phillimore) is a well-known West End actress caught in a changing West End climate that is trying for performers.
A visit from her young daughter, Amy (Lissy Malt) with a new boyfriend Dominic, (Simo Vaz) sets in motion a series of events which only find their shape sixteen years later. At the Place Theatre. Tickets: £12.00

From 9am, Twinwoods Adventure is hosting a family fun day as part of the Leap for Lulu event. Dozens of Bedfordians will be jumping from the top of a 125′ tower at Twinwoods Adventure to raise funds for the Great Denham 6 year-old whose family is fundraising for treatment in the US. There will be lots of things to do throughout the day, so bring the family along and help with the fundraiser., The Bedford Independent team and their families will be jumping, and there’s still time to sponsor us.

The Denny McCaffrey Band is a 10 piece outfit which was created to perform tracks from Denny’s catalouge with the help of fabulous chosen musicians and singers who were keen to share the experience. They’ll be playing soul, jazz at funk at this week’s Sunday Afternoon Session at Esquires.
