A house on Hall End Road in Wootton has once again been transformed into a festive wonderland, raising money for children’s charities.
This the sixteenth Christmas that Graham and Liz Mayles have decorated their house with thousands of lights and in the last four years they’ve raised over £1,800 for deserving causes.
Here’s a film the Bedford Independent made following a visit to the Mayles’ house last Christmas, which raised money for St John’s Special School:
All money raised this year will be donated to the NICU at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, to thank the nurses for the care they gave their grandson, Harley, when he was born last December weighting just 1lb 6oz.
“If it wasn’t for the amazing nurses in the NICU we wouldn’t have been able to celebrate Harley’s first birthday last week,” said Graham and Liz’s daughter, Emma.
If you do pay the Wootton wonderland a visit, make sure you make a donation to this year’s deserving cause.
