Woman rescued from bungalow fire at Harris Close, Kempston

A woman has been taken to hospital this morning (Monday) after she was rescued by fire crews from a burning bungalow in Kempston.

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a house fire at just after 6am this morning.

Several crews from Bedford and Kempston attended the bungalow fire in Harris Close.

A statement from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Services, said, “On arrival, firefighters rescued a woman from the property and she was conveyed to hospital by ambulance service.

“Crews extinguished the fire and implemented scene safety. Fire investigation is pending.”
