Were you one of the children from St Gregory’s Middle School who was featured in a documentary film for the BBC’s Nationwide programme in 1973?

If so, Bedford Music Club would love to hear from you as part of their Festival of Italian Music and Culture – Bella Ciao! – which will take place next April.

As well as featuring music ranging from plainsong to jazz, contemporary compositions and a late-night DJ, the organisers are planning a very special community concert with Bedford Town Band on 26 April.

So if you recognise yourself or one of your friends or relatives in this video, the festival organisers would love to hear from you.

“We would love to make contact with former pupils of St Gregory’s Middle School who featured in the BBC Nationwide documentary in 1973 about Bedford Italians,” said festival organiser, Ian Rowlands.

“Were you one of the children singing Arrivederci Roma?

‘If so, we’d love to bring you back together again to sing in our festival concert.”

If you recognise yourself or a friend, relative or neighbour in that film, Ian would love to hear from you and to invite you to take part in a very special reunion.

Please share this with your friends and family to try and get as many members of the choir back together.

Anyone wanting to find out more can contact Ian, chair of Bedford Music Club at enquiries@bedfordmusicclub.co.uk
