Two men arrested after Queens Park assault leaves man hospitalised

Two men have been arrested following an assault which left a man with serious injuries that required hospital treatment.

Bedfordshire Police are investigating the incident which happened at 8.30pm on Queens Bridge between Kempston and Queen’s Park yesterday (Monday).

A man in his 50s and a man in his 40s were arrested in connection to this incident and a number of lines of enquiry are being followed.

Detective Sergeant Simon Hancock, who is investigating, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed this assault or seen anything suspicious in the area at the time.

“Violent crime won’t be tolerated in our county and we are asking for the witnesses to come forward.”
