Police Latest News

A man was pronounced dead at the scene on Tavistock Street last night (Tuesday) after police and ambulance services were called.

“We were called just before midnight last night (Tuesday) by the ambulance service, which had been called to a report of concern for welfare of a man in Tavistock Street, Bedford,” said a spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police.

Emergency services attended, but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin is being located.

The road was closed whilst an investigation took place, and was reopened around 7.30am this morning.
