A man who was pronounced dead on Tavistock Street on Tuesday night has been named by Police.

Shane Burke was attended by emergency services just before midnight on Tuesday 7 January after an ambulance had been called to a report of concern for his welfare.

He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s report is yet to be released.
