Children whose vaccinations are not up to date can attend any one of a series of clinics over the summer.
Venues across Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes are hosting the catch-up vaccinations, which are aimed at children from pre-school age up to Year 7, as well as pregnant women. All the routine childhood and maternal vaccinations will be available.
The sites have been selected to make it easy for families to drop in, with no advance booking required, so that children can be protected before starting school or nursery in September.
Councillor Martin Towler (Conservative, Risely), portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and communities: health and wellbeing urged parents and carers to ensure their children received vaccinations.
Cllr Towler said: “Vaccinations are crucial for keeping everybody in our community healthy. Make sure you take your children along to a clinic that suits you, and together we’ll keep Bedford Borough healthy.”
