A new dance night is launching in Bedford this month, bringing a party filled with love, underground music, joy, positivity and inclusivity.
Organisers of REMEDY say, “Imagine all your friends dancing in one place, the music is pumping, and the disco ball is spinning. REMEDY is a new party that creates a space for hope, happiness and unity.”
Set up by a group of local dancers, DJs, artists and music lovers, the launch event takes place on Saturday, 26 July, at Dom Polski on Ashburnham Road. From 5pm until 1am, music is the instrument and love is the message.
Influenced and inspired by New York’s underground nightclubs, with music ranging from disco to soul, funk to jazz-funk, Deep House to global grooves, REMEDY celebrates positive vibes and community, particularly in times when the world appears so gloomy.
REMEDY is a space for everyone, focused on inclusivity, freedom of movement and a wide range of music. Drawing its inspiration from the Northern Soul scene, REMEDY have specifically chosen Dom Polski because it has a large wooden dance floor, inviting free, expressive movement.
Bringing the music to REMEDY’s first party are internationally renowned DJ The Mighty Zaf and underground DJ Deep Pete. The Mighty Zaf inspires and uplifts music lovers with his unparalleled passion for vinyl culture. Zaf’s DJ sets have captivated audiences at events including Southport Weekender, Giles Peterson’s We Out Here Festival and the Boiler Room Collective Series.
Deep Pete has been selecting records for parties since the 90s. His selections cover a wide spectrum from soul, disco and deep house and his most recent set had the dancefloor jumping at Lucky Cloud Sound System.
TICKETS are £14 which includes a vegan buffet, cloakroom and a cosmic journey through sound and light. If the price is a barrier and you want to join the party, please contact remedysoundsystem@gmail.com.

If you would like to dance at a REMEDY party, sign up to their invite list via their website remedycollective.net. Once you have signed up, you will receive an invite to reserve your place on the dance floor.
