The man murdered during a shooting in Leven Walk on Saturday (27 October) has been named as 20 year old Patryk Olowniuk, from Bedford.
Emergency services were called to the street in Brickhill at around 9.40pm. Paramedics worked hard to save him but Mr Olowniuk was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination carried out yesterday (Monday) revealed he died from a gunshot wound.
The investigation continues, but four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting and have since been released on bail. These are: a 54-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man.
Detective Chief Inspector Jerome Kent said: “We are making progress with our investigation, but we are still appealing for any information from members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or may have seen Patryk in the area before it happened to come forward.”
Bedfordshire Police are continuing to carry out patrols in the area and are urging anyone with information to speak with officers on site or or call police directly on 101 quoting Operation Mocha.
