Police cordon in Sharnbrook as suspicious package delivered to Unilever

UPDATE: Police confirm the package was not malicious, the cordon has now been lifted and people can return to the area.

Bedfordshire Police have put a cordon in place in Sharnbrook after a suspicious package was delivered to Unilever.

Police were called at just after 11am to reports of concern after the item was received in the post.

A 100 metre cordon is in place at Colworth Science Park and the nearby King’s Cottage nursery school is being evacuated as a precaution while the device is examined by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.
