Bedfordshire Police arrested a man on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of drugs with intent to supply last night, after a police car chase along Queen’s Drive.
The driver failed to stop when Police attempted to pull him over on Monk’s Hill last night.
Officers chased him along Queen’s Drive to Barley Way where the driver got out and ran away from the scene.
Police dogs and the police helicopter were called to help search for him and shortly afterwards he was found and arrested.
Earlier reports on social media that gun shots were fired have been denied by the police with a spokesperson saying: “No shots were fired and no weapons were involved.”
