Bikers will lead a parade down Bedford High Street on Sunday, 29 June, to begin the annual celebrations of Armed Forces Day in the town centre.
150 people will be taking part in the parade, which will begin at De Parys Avenue at 10am and culminate at Harpur Square for the special celebrations to honour serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military charities.
The parade will feature Bedford Pipe Band, veterans, and other groups on foot, with approximately 10-15 bikers leading the way and Bedfordians are encouraged to line the route.
At Harpur Square, the celebrations will continue until 4pm with stalls, activities, and a display of around 15 military vehicles. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet members of the Armed Forces community, learn about military history, and enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere filled with pride and appreciation.
