Bedford Borough Council have announced that nominations for the Bedford Sports and Physical Activity Awards are now open in the latest edition of one of the council’s marquee events.
The Awards have been running for 29 years and the 2024 edition will take place on Monday 9 December 2024 at Bedford Corn Exchange, with the Borough’s sporting individuals and clubs recognised for numerous achievements.

There are 14 different awards, ranging from Adult and Junior Sports Personality of the Year through to the special Service to Sport Award, won last year by Riverside Tennis Club’s, Neil Frankel.
Schools, clubs and para sport are also recognised in a wide-ranging selection of awards.

Other winners included the Bedford Ladies Tug of War team, who picked up the Team of the Year award in 2023 and enjoyed another stellar year, including winning a silver medal at the recent World Championships in Germany.
