Nominations are now open for the Bedford Independent Everyday Heroes Awards 2025, in partnership with The Harpur Trust, celebrating the individuals who go above and beyond to make Bedford Borough a better place.
Among the categories is Fundraiser of the Year (Individual), sponsored by Woodfines Solicitors, recognising people who dedicate their time and energy to raising money for causes close to their hearts.

The Fundraiser of the Year award is for people who have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funds for their chosen charity.
That could be through sporting challenges, community events, or creative campaigns. Nominees will be judged on passion, creativity, and commitment to their fundraising efforts.
Last year’s winner was nine-year-old Frankie Pickup, who learned 70 signs for Embrace Charity’s 70th anniversary and raised more than £1,500.

“We’re passionate about supporting our local community and the individuals, organisations, and businesses dedicated to helping it thrive, and that’s why we’re delighted to continue sponsoring the Everyday Hero Awards,” said Suzanna Stephenson, managing partner at Woodfines.

The 2025 awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, 7 May, at The Quarry Theatre, with Bedford School as the host sponsor and The Quarry Theatre as the venue sponsor.
