A Day In- Bedford

If you ever wondered what other Bedfordians might be getting up to each day, then head to The Place Theatre this week for A Day In: Bedford, which explores what it’s like to live in Bedford in 2020.

The cast have researched modern Bedford life, looking at the trials, tribulations, highs and lows of being a Borough resident, exploring what it means to live in Bedford in 2020.

Working with a pool of local actors, SE Theatre Company, has collected testimonials from local residents and used them to devise a play to celebrate the town and its citizens.

SE Theatre Company was created by Simão Vaz and Elliott Wallis with the mission of reinterpreting old classics through modern eyes, and bringing the voice of new writers to the stage.

Last year they turned The Place Theatre car park into an outdoor performance space and performed Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors during BedFringe.

A Day In: Bedford is at The Place Theatre, Wednesday 19 February at 7:30pm. You can buy tickets in advance at Tickesolve.
