Name the SMART Scavenger Hunt superheroes to win prizes

Superhero scavenger hunt

On Sunday 9 June, the SMART Prebend Centre will be hosting a family ‘superhero scavenger hunt’ to raise awareness and funds for their Bedford based homeless centre.

They’ve asked our readers could come up with super-duper names for their superhero characters.

If your names are chosen, you’ll win a superhero prize worth £50, plus you and three friends can take part in the scavenger hunt for free.

Just follow this link to enter the competition.

The hunt takes place at Russell Park from 10am until 4pm. It’s just £2 and everyone will receive a prize pack.

In addition to the scavenger hunt there will be old fashioned funfair games, stalls and refreshments for everyone to enjoy.

All profits from the day will be used to support the ongoing running costs of the SMART Prebend Centre.

Lisa Harrison, SMART’s Area Manager for Bedford said, “We are excited to build on the success of last year’s Superhero bike ride.

“This year we will be inviting families to walk, ride, scoot or skate their way around our scavenger trail to find hidden treasure! Clues and questions will be suitable for all ages.

“We’d love visitors to come dressed as superheroes, but everyone’s welcome – fancy dress or not.”

Jen Robus, SMART’s Outreach Manager for Bedford told us, “We receive fantastic support from residents and businesses in Bedford for which we are extremely grateful.

“We are currently looking for sponsors to support the event, so if you are able to help with some of the costs, we’d love to hear from you.”

Now more than ever, we need your help to fund the Bedford Independent’s quality journalism that serves our community...

We choose to champion editorial independence, meaning we report the facts without bias and can stand up to those in power when we believe it’s needed.

We can give a voice to people in our community whose voices may otherwise not be heard. And we don’t have a paywall, so everyone can read the stories we publish for free.

But in this time of crisis, many news organisations all over the world are facing existential threat, with advertising revenues plummeting. We’re no different.

We work hard every day to bring you news, commentary, entertainment and announcements from across Bedford. We hope that, with your help, we’ll be able to continue this for many years to come.
