MP Blake Stephenson (Conservative) has launched his second annual Pub of the Year competition to find the best pub in Mid Bedfordshire in 2026.

The contest will run from Monday 20 July until Friday 11 September at 5pm, and all you need to do is submit the name of your favourite local pub.

In last year’s competition, the Cross Keys in Pulloxhill were crowned winners after the public vote.

Followed by The Chequers in Westoning and The Royal Oak in Barton-le-Clay, second and third, and the Stone Jug in Clophill and The Crown in Flitwick rounding off the top five.

Blake Stephenson, MP for Mid Bedfordshire, said: “We had thousands of votes in last year’s pub of the year competition and it was amazing to see so many people and pubs getting involved, so I’m delighted to be bringing my Mid Bedfordshire pub of the year competition back.

“I know that times are tough in the hospitality industry, and a competition won’t fix that, but I want to spread some positivity and shine a spotlight on our fantastic locals.

“So please do get your votes in, support your local and spread the word in your local area.”

And he believes this competition can help ‘shine a spotlight’ on local pubs and create a friendly sense of competition this summer.
