In my last column I spoke about my excitement about the Universal Studios announcement but stressed the importance of delivering the right infrastructure alongside the theme park.
It is essential that as local residents you have your say about the project before planning is considered by Government, so I have set up a short survey on my website where you can tell me what you think.
In a few weeks will share the results to all those involved in the project, including the Government, our local councils, and of course Universal.
Universal will be a gamechanger for our region, but that will only be possible if we get the infrastructure right and our communities are supported – which I know Universal wants to do – and hearing your thoughts is going to be vital.

There has been plenty of other work going on as well, as we continue the campaign to get the long-awaited GP surgery for Wixams built and get the Government to support essential maintenance at both the Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
And I quizzed the Health Secretary on both of these issues in the House of Commons last week.
Road safety
I have also been supporting residents who are passionate about improving the safety of our local roads.
This has been one of the most mentioned issues to me, and I have been arranging meetings for residents to discuss their concerns with the local council and local policing teams. These are just a few of the key issues I have been working on over the last few weeks.
I am also continuing to get out across the constituency to meet as many people as possible through surgeries, ‘town hall’ style meetings and drop-in sessions so I can listen to you about the issues that are most important to you.
