A couple of points about Bedford Ian’s article (Enjoying your work, by the way).

If tenants cannot be found for the ground floor of Debenhams perhaps it could be turned into an indoor market along the lines of Shrewsbury or, on a smaller scale Market Harborough. These seem to be a great asset to other towns.
As far as Aspects is concerned: if it is ever re-developed perhaps it can make more use of its riverside location instead of turning its back on it.
This might make it far more desirable. We desparately need the facilities it could provide. I don’t suppose we’ll get a new swimming pool in my lifetime but it would make a good location for one for along side other attractions if the current pool is to close.
