Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BedsRCC) has been named the Community Business of the Year Award in this year’s SME Luton and Bedfordshire Business Awards.
The charity, which works across our county to support rural communities picked up gold in the awards at Bedford Corn Exchange on 29 June.
BedsRCC CEO Tracy Cowan said: “We were up against some extremely worthy nominees this year, so this was a lovely surprise.
“Our staff have worked so hard over the last year during the pandemic and it’s wonderful for them to be recognised in tis way. We’re very proud of them all.”
The awards themselves seek to recognise small and medium-sized enterprises that had demonstrated the upmost dedication and innovation in the way in which they adapted to, and weathered, the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the case of BedsRCC, judges recognised the way in which their staff and volunteers have supported their local communities and those vulnerable residents over the last year.
They’ll will now go through to the SME National Business Awards on 28 July 2021 at Wembley Stadium.
