This half term, the Philharmonia Orchestra is bringing one of the most beloved of all children’s books to life, with a family concert inspired by Winnie-the-Pooh.
Enter the Hundred Acre Wood (at St Paul’s Church in the town centre), and join eight Philharmonia cellists on an exciting adventure with Winnie-the-Pooh and his lovable companions.
The concert takes place on Friday, 29 May, and there are performances at 2pm and 3.30pm.
Concert-goers will follow Piglet as he attempts to catch a Heffalump, help Pooh and his friends find Eeyore’s missing tail, and try to figure out what Tigger wants to eat for breakfast.
Music for the concert has been composed by the Philharmonia’s very own Richard Birchall, bringing A. A. Milne’s beautiful landscape to life in this charming, heart-warming, family-friendly concert.
