Garden waste collections to resume on 1 March

It’s the news gardeners have been waiting for – Bedford Borough Council will resume garden waste collections from Friday, 1 March.

Green-lidded garden waste bins are collected fortnightly alongside the orange-lidded recycling bin and must be left out for collection by no later than 6am on collection day.

You can find the bin collection calendar on the council’s website here.

“Please make sure all of your garden waste is placed into your green-lidded bin loose (no bags please) and the lid is closed,” said a council spokesperson.

“The collection crews will not remove any garden waste left out next to your bin.”
