Four teenagers arrested and questioned over two Putnoe shop robberies

Four teenage boys have been arrested and are being questioned by Bedfordshire Police following robberies at two shops in Putnoe over the weekend.

A spokesperson for the Police said, “We were called at around 8.00pm on Saturday (1 February) to a report of a robbery at a shop in Library Walk, Bedford, where four youths stole cigarettes and vodka.

“A further report was made at 8.00pm on Sunday (2 February) when four youths, wearing masks and hoods, entered a store in Queens Drive, Bedford, and stole cigarettes.

“A search by officers, supported by the police helicopter and dog unit, located four teenage boys nearby. No weapons were reported at either incident.”

The boys have been arrested in connection with both incidents and are currently in custody for questioning.
