Bedford Blues have announced the departure of four big names from their squad this afternoon.
Winger Ryan Hutler and hooker Robbie Smith are joining backsĀ Sam Leeming and American international Will Hooley in leaving Goldington Road.
The departures will be sure to disappoint fans and the squad alike, with all four playing a big part for the club.
Robbie Smith especially became a fan favourite with many man of the match performances from the front row.
The futures of the individual players are unclear, but with quality shown from all of them, they are sure to go on to have flourishing careers and add their names to the long list of Blues players to go on to bigger and better things.
Preparation for the 2020/21 season is already well under way, with the club having to find savings across the board as the first step of the RFU funding cut takes effect.
This came ahead of the losses felt from the coronavirus pandemic, which caused the premature end of the current season.
