Fifth teenager charged in connection with Thomas Taylor murder

A fifth teenager has been charged in connection with the murder of Thomas Taylor in Bedford. The 17-year-old died after being stabbed in Greenhill Street, Bedford at around 5.50pm on Wednesday, 8 January.

Yesterday (Wednesday), a 17-year-old boy was charged with murder in connection to the incident and has been remanded into custody.

Four teenagers have already been charged with murder in connection to the incident.

A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police added that “a further two, who were arrested and released on bail, will now have no further action taken against them in relation to the incident.”

A post-mortem on Thomas Taylor which took place on Tuesday (14 January) has given the preliminary cause of death as stab wounds.
