Christmas has come early for coffee lovers in Bedford with Starbucks announcing it’s opening a brand-new store in The Harpur Centre and creating 15 jobs.
The news was revealed by Harpur Shopping Centre Manager, Samantha Laycock who said: “It’s a great boost for the town.”
The new Starbucks UK store will be at the end of the Midland Road Mall and pour its first brews on 8th December at 11:00.
The first 100 customers will also be given free coffee for a year.
The Harpur Centre itself has been undergoing a massive transformation recently creating a more modern shopping experience.
“A lot of regeneration and investment has taken place at The Harpur Centre recently,” said Samantha. “The opening of the nation’s favourite coffee shop clearly demonstrates that the centre is a place to invest in and we’re confident that our exciting redevelopment will support the town centre’s growth.”
