Mercury and BRIT nominated Kate Tempest is confirmed to perform at Esquires this month in a special All Points East Festival warm up show.
Tickets for the show on Thursday 23 May go in sale tomorrow (8 May) at 10am and are likely to sell out in a matter of minutes.
Said Gareth Barber, of Esquires: “We are holding 50 tickets back to be bought locally so Bedford people don’t miss out, these are on sale from Slide Record Shop, The Arcade Bedford.”

Like all our shows, this is a 14+ ages event. Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult.
Born in London in 1985, Kate Tempest’s work includes the plays Wasted, Glasshouse and Hopelessly Devoted; the poetry collections Everything Speaks in its Own Way and Hold Your Own; the albums Everybody Down and Let Them Eat Chaos; the long poems Brand New Ancients and Let Them Eat Chaos; and her debut novel, The Bricks that Built the Houses.
Her most recent collection, Running Upon the Wires, was released in September.
She was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize for both her albums, for Best Female at the BRITS 2018 and received the Ted Hughes Award and a Herald Angel Award for Brand New Ancients.
Kate was also named a Next Generation poet in 2014 and nominated for the 2016 Costa Book Award for Poetry.
