The Harpur Centre’s renovations continue, with the launch of a new, boutique style gym in the coming weeks.

Energie Fitness will feature state-of-the-art equipment alongside a unique multi-functional zone space called “The Yard”, where all the gyms classes will take place.

And shoppers will be able to validate their parking through Energie Fitness giving them two hours’ free parking in the underground car park.

All classes last for 30 – 45 minutes ensuring that shoppers are guaranteed to get an intense workout even if they’re in a rush – and you can even watch Netflix on their new Precor machines.

Samantha Laycock, centre manager at Harpur Centre, said, “We are incredibly excited to welcome Energie Fitness to the Harpur Centre and would like to wish them every success for the year ahead.

“We hope our shoppers will be inspired to keep fit and healthy as well as enjoying everything Harpur Centre has to offer from shopping to socializing and playing.”

Now more than ever, we need your help to fund the Bedford Independent’s quality journalism that serves our community...

We choose to champion editorial independence, meaning we report the facts without bias and can stand up to those in power when we believe it’s needed.

We can give a voice to people in our community whose voices may otherwise not be heard. And we don’t have a paywall, so everyone can read the stories we publish for free.

But in this time of crisis, many news organisations all over the world are facing existential threat, with advertising revenues plummeting. We’re no different.

We work hard every day to bring you news, commentary, entertainment and announcements from across Bedford. We hope that, with your help, we’ll be able to continue this for many years to come.
