Don’t lose your chance to vote in Bedford Borough’s local council elections


People across the Borough are being reminded to make sure they register to vote so that can have their say on who represents them at all levels of Bedford Borough Council.

A local council election will be held on Thursday 2 May for the elected mayor of Bedford Borough, local councillors, and, where needed, parish and town councillors.

To be able to have their say, Bedfordians must be on the electoral register by 12 April.

Even if you’ve registered before, If you’ve moved since the last election, you may need to update your details to reamain eligible to vote.

Philip Simpkins, Chief Executive of Bedford Borough Council said: “Time is running out to make sure you can take part in the local elections.

“These elections are an opportunity to make your voice heard and have a say on who represents you on issues that directly affect day-to-day life here in Bedford Borough.

“The last date to register to vote is 12 April.”
