Cranfield University will pay overseas students’ quarantine costs through their newly launched international arrivals bursary.
The bursary covers covid testing costs for students arriving in the UK. It is available to all international students starting full-time programmes between June 1 and 31 October 2021.
The Uni will also provide free accommodation and meals while students are quarantining.
However, should students need to stay in a government quarantine hotel, Cranfield will also cover this.
Simon Pollard, Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Cranfield, said: “Cranfield is a global university and, each year, we welcome students from more than 100 countries.
”We appreciate that our international students may be facing extra challenges in taking the next steps in their educational journey. By offering this bursary, we hope to ease some of those challenges.”
Throughout the pandemic the university has created a Covid-secure campus. Covid cases have been significantly lower than the UK higher education average.
