Bedford Borough Council is inviting Bedfordians to take part in its Bus Survey 2025, which is now open and will run until 5:00pm on Friday, 19 December.
The Council is seeking feedback on the current state of local bus services, whether people use them regularly or not, to inform future decisions and enhance connectivity across the borough.
Buses remain a key part of Bedford Borough’s transport network, connecting communities to work, school, healthcare, shopping and leisure.
The Council invests in services, manages the concessionary travel scheme for older and disabled residents, and maintains infrastructure, including bus stops and passenger information boards.

Working in partnership with the area’s leading operators, Grant Palmer, Stagecoach and Uno, the Council hopes the survey will provide a clearer picture of local travel habits, including the barriers that prevent people from using buses more often.
Input is vital
Councillor Nicola Gribble (Independent, Renhold and Ravensden), Portfolio Holder for Environment, said: “Your input, whether you use buses or not, is vital in helping us to build a clearer picture of how residents travel and what influences their choices.
“We know that bus services are an essential part of connecting people to work, education, leisure and community life, and we encourage everyone across the Borough to take part in this survey.”
The survey takes around 10–15 minutes to complete and is available online at bedford.gov.uk/consultations
Paper copies are also available from Bedford Borough libraries, Better leisure centres, Bedford Borough Hall reception, the Borough Hub on Horne Lane, and the Visitor Information Centre on Silver Street.
Completed forms can be returned by post free of charge until Friday, 16 January 2026.
