Bedford-based charities, Living It Up and CHUMS were the recipients of £9,000 each following a charity golf day at Pavenham Park Golf Club.
This year marked the 30th annual St Philip and St James Golf Society Charity Golf Day, which was held on 4 June.
118 golfers braved heavy rain to complete their rounds, raising £20,500 in the process. An additional £165 was collected throughout the day from golfers buying refreshments sold by Living It Up at the ninth hole.

This was a record year for St Philip and St James Golf Society and thanks to the unprecedented level of support, the total funds raised for local charities over the last three decades now tops more than £103,000.
“We would like to thank all the golfers, sponsors, Pavenham Park Golf Club, all those who donated items for the Silent Auction and Raffle and everyone who helped to make it such a successful day,” said a spokesperson.
Next year’s event will take place on 3 June 2022 and if you would like to take part, become a sponsor or donate please email Dermot Horan at dermot2510@hotmail.com
