Brit Award nominee Cat Burns has been announced as support for George Ezra’s Bedford Park Concerts’ gig this summer on Friday, 30 June 2023.
Cat Burns is a 21-year-old singer and songwriter who went from busking on the Southbank to mastering Tik Tok during lockdown.
An astounding vocal talent and an incredibly talented songwriter she has quickly amassed over one million followers on the platform.
Drawing upon gospel influences, pop inspirations and a love of guitar-led and indie music, she proudly cites Ed Sheeran, India Arie and Tori Kelly as a few of her biggest inspirations.
Her song “Go” was released in July 2020 and reached the number two position in the UK singles chart, and is included in her latest EP Emotionally Unavailable.
In addition to Cat Burns, Limerick-based three-piece, Kingfishr will complete the lineup.
The band has quickly established itself as one of the rising prospects in Irish music. Emerging during the summer of last year as part of the newest generation of Irish contemporaries.
The band’s grand, atmospheric tone married with their propensity for catchy melodies has resonated with a wide audience and cemented the band’s reputation as one to watch in 2023.
And with the headline, George Ezra, who has three UK No.1 albums Wanted On Voyage (2014), Staying At Tamara’s (2018) and Gold Rush Kid (2022) under his belt, it’s set to be a great night in Bedford Park.
