Bringing together Talking Therapies and emotional health for wellbeing webinars

284

Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes mental health experts have collaborated together to create a range of wellbeing webinars for 2021.

Three leading Talking Therapy teams from Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) have partnered with the aim of improving mental health and wellbeing in the region.

This means that residents in Bedford will have full access to a range of free webinars to boost positive mental health, including support with employment, managing anxiety and stress, and practicing mindfulness exercises.

The online events aim to give individuals an opportunity to step back from day-to-day worries and concentrate on their own mental wellbeing.

Mind BLMK’s Chief Executive Officer, Caroline Lewis said: “This is an incredible and much-needed opportunity for people from across Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes to access further support with their mental wellbeing.

“We are really proud to be working alongside the three leading IAPT services to promote this work, and fully believe that by working in a collaborative way the support offering across the region can be so much more effective for those needing services such as this.”

Now more than ever, we need your help to fund the Bedford Independent’s quality journalism that serves our community...

We choose to champion editorial independence, meaning we report the facts without bias and can stand up to those in power when we believe it’s needed.

We can give a voice to people in our community whose voices may otherwise not be heard. And we don’t have a paywall, so everyone can read the stories we publish for free.

But in this time of crisis, many news organisations all over the world are facing existential threat, with advertising revenues plummeting. We’re no different.

We work hard every day to bring you news, commentary, entertainment and announcements from across Bedford. We hope that, with your help, we’ll be able to continue this for many years to come.
