A night of live music and entertainment is on the cards at Bedford’s first Asian indoor festival, taking place on 30 December at the International Athletic Stadium.

Bhangra Town boasts a fabulous line-up for fans of Bhangra, house and hip hop, guest hosted by BBC Asian Network presenter (and Bedfordian), Noreen Khan and DJ Arvee.

Bhangra legend, Panjabi MC, known internationally for his hit Mundian To Bach Ke (over 70m streams on Spotify), will be headlining, supported by HMC and drumming from Reverb Dholis.

Also on the lineup are Metz n Trix, DJ Dips, Roach Killa and D-Malice plus Dhol drummers Eternal Taal. Local rising star, S-Jay, whose music has appeared on BBC Introducing…, will also be performing.

“I’m a massive music fan, born and bred in Bedford and I’ve been wanting to put an event like this on for ages,” said Leon Thompson of Onyxx Events.

“The 30 December is normally such a ‘nothing’ day – everyone’s bored between Christmas and New Year – so I wanted to add something to everyone’s calendar to bring a bang to finish the year off.

“This event really is for everyone – whatever your music tastes, we’re bringing a massive party to Bedford and we can’t wait to meet you there.”

Bhangra Town will take place at Bedford International Athletic Stadium from 5pm til late on 30 December. Tickets are £22.49, with VIP packages available. You can book tickets here.
