Bedford Foodbank received a donation from the Bedfordshire Humanists this month, to help the charity provide food to over 600 families each month.

Chair of Bedfordshire Humanists, Charles Baily, presented a cheque for £250, and an additional £45 collected on the night, to Simon Danes who is a Trustee of the Bedford Foodbank.

The presentation took place at an evening meeting of the Bedford Skeptics in the Pub group held at the North End Social Club on Roff Avenue.

Simon explained that the food bank is currently providing food to over 600 families every month and this includes a lot of children who would otherwise go without.

If you would like to donate to Bedford Foodbank, collections of food and other essentials take place at most major supermarkets in Bedford.
