The Eagles were held to a draw away to Aylesbury United in a tightly contested match in Chesham. Both sides had chances to win it, but no one could get the goal as the spoils were shared.

The first half was a quiet one, but no side could make the breakthrough. Louis Walsh’s deflected effort was the closest either side got to a goal as Aylesbury goalkeeper, James Callan tipped it around the post.

In the second half, the game sparked into life. Louis Walsh had yet another effort saved by Callan instantly from kick off as the Eagles began the half well.

Shane Bush had a great chance to put the Eagles ahead, but it was Callan in goal again to deny the Eagles player.

The Ducks then had a superb chance to take the lead when a header following a corner was brilliantly saved by Mark Smith, and the rebound was excellently cleared by the Eagles as well.

Shortly after, the Eagles went straight up the other end and almost scored. Great work by Lynton Goss and new loan signing, Hamzat Balogun on the right meant the ball fell to Louis Walsh on a half volley and his effort rattled the crossbar.

This was about it for the match as neither side could make the breakthrough. A decent point for Lee Bircham’s side who move onto AFC Dunstable at The Eyrie next Saturday.
