The planned works, were due to start on Monday 17 February. They will now begin on Monday 2 March.

A Borough Council spokesperson said, “Preparation works have been ongoing, but construction has been slightly delayed due to Cadent Gas needing to repair a leaking gas main.

“Works begin on the eastern arm of Bromham Road on Monday 2 March.”

The disruption is due to last for six weeks.

The junction improvements include new zebra crossings with parallel cycle crossings on each arm of the junction, new shared use footways and the resurfacing of Ashburnham Road.
