Armed police respond to the incident on Sandhurst Road

Bedfordshire Police were called at around 4.30pm last Friday (5 March) to reports of a fight in Sandhurst Road off Ampthill Road in Bedford.

Officers attended the scene and arrested two men, one in his 30s and one in his 40s, on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

A statement from Bedfordshire Police confirmed that the man in his 30s was further arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug and both men have been released on bail.
