Applications for the return of the Bedford Charity Chase around the picturesque surroundings of Turvey House are still open, and the event has now benefited from the sponsorship of a local business, allowing every penny of the application fees to go directly to charity.
Building Transformation, a Bedford-based maintenance company, is generously sponsoring race timing and race numbers for the Bedford Charity Chase, ensuring every penny of entry money goes directly to two charities, Creating Memories and The Road Victims Trust.

“We are proud to support The Bedford Charity Chase to help raise money for two great local charities and we want to wish good luck to all participants,” said a Building Transformation spokesperson, as they put their name to the 5-mile road race.
The event is open to anyone who wishes to take part, whether they be runners, walkers, or fitness enthusiasts. This isn’t just another race; it’s a community-driven event, organised by local people, for local people.
This race is for all, whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal best, someone starting their ‘Couch to 5K’ journey, or even a walker looking for a new challenge.
100% of funds raised go to charity
Ken Parsons, the driving force behind the event and a keen runner himself, has been taking part in a number of local races wearing a 31lb backpack in order to advertise the chase.
He is on a mission to change the charity model for running races.
“So many races require charities to pay huge amounts just to take part. I wanted to create something different – an event where 100% of the entry fee goes directly to the charities.

“There are no hidden costs, no overheads, just pure fundraising for those who need it most”, adds Ken who welcomes the sponsorship provided by Building Transformation.
Applications are still open, and you can sign up now at www.thebedfordcharitychase.org.
Runners are able to apply up until the start of the race, which begins at 9am sharp on 28 September 2025.
