If your child is due to start Secondary or Upper School next September, applications are now open and need to be in by 31 October 2023 so you have the best chance of getting a place at their preferred school.

Parents and carers who live within the Borough and have a child in year 6 at primary school, or year 8 at middle school, will need to transfer their child to a secondary or upper school in September 2024.

Cllr Jane Walker (Conservative, Clapham & Oakley), portfolio holder for family, education, and children’s services said: “Applying for a school place is both an exciting and nerve-wracking time for children and their families, but it’s a quick and easy process that can be done online in a matter of minutes.”

You can apply for your child’s place at Borough Council’s website.

Once the deadline, Tuesday 31 October 2023, passes, any application received will be considered as late, and the chance of gaining a place at a preferred school could be greatly reduced.
