A site manager overseeing the construction of new homes in Wixams has received one of the housebuilding industry’s highest accolades.

Andrew Webb, who leads construction work at the Tilia Homes development in Wixams, has been awarded an NHBC Pride in the Job Award, recognising excellence in site management.

The award is presented annually by the National House Building Council (NHBC) and recognises site managers who demonstrate high standards of leadership, organisation, health and safety, and build quality.

Thousands of site managers are assessed each year through a programme of inspections before winners are selected.

Industry recognition

The award comes as the Wixams development becomes the first dual-branded community delivered by the untypical Group, bringing together homes from both Tilia Homes and Hopkins Homes on the same site.

Andrew Webb and his team are overseeing the delivery of homes across both brands.

Jon Cook, Regional Managing Director for untypical’s Eastern region, said: “We are incredibly proud to see Andrew recognised with a Pride in the Job Award.

“This accolade reflects not only his commitment to excellence, but also the dedication of the entire Wixams team in delivering high-quality homes and creating a community that our customers can be proud to call home.”

He added: “As the development continues to grow, Andrew and his team will play a key role in delivering a wide range of high-quality homes and maintaining the exceptional standards that this award celebrates.”

Next stage

The Pride in the Job Award is the first stage of the NHBC awards programme.

Andrew Webb will now be considered for the NHBC Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards later this year.

His success forms part of a wider achievement for the untypical Group, with four site managers across its developments receiving Pride in the Job Awards this year.
