A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a break-in at The Bear pub in Bedford town centre.
Police were called to the High Street just after 2.15am this morning (Thursday) following reports of a burglary.

Bedfordshire Police said a man was arrested shortly afterwards on Midland Road.
He remains in custody for questioning.
The Bear is one of Bedford town centre’s best-known pubs and reopened in December 2022 after a short closure.
As the Bedford Independent reported at the time, the High Street pub reopened under former landlady Lisa Pawsey, with the existing team returning and the venue continuing its long-standing reputation as an alternative music pub in the town centre.
