Bedford bus drivers are amongst those recognised for outstanding driving standards after 201 Stagecoach East drivers achieved “Fleet Elite” status in 2025.
Stagecoach East said the figure represents around a third of its local drivers, with the accreditation awarded based on performance data monitored by driver safety specialists GreenRoad.

GreenRoad monitors driver performance across Stagecoach East and awards Fleet Elite status to drivers who show sustained driving excellence, including strong safety scores and what the company described as mastery of the profession.
Stagecoach said the scheme is designed to keep the focus on road safety and recognise drivers who help reduce risk and improve safety for both passengers and staff.
Stagecoach East said 66 Bedford drivers reached ‘Grand Master’ or ‘Master’ Fleet Elite status, awarded to those who have maintained the highest standards of safe, fuel-efficient driving for 10 years and 4 years, respectively.
