Bedford Original Culture Festival burst back into life this weekend, with crowds descending on Priory Park yesterday (Saturday) for a celebration of music, dance and community spirit.

Now in its fourth year, the growing event has become a firm favourite in Bedford’s summer calendar.

Held in memory of DJ Rhino Selekta, the two-day festival continues to attract visitors from across the UK, all drawn by its vibrant atmosphere and diverse line-up.

Saturday’s energy was electric as headline acts, including DJ Luck and MC Neat, Twin MCs, AG, and the London Garage Orchestra, took to the stage, keeping the crowds dancing throughout the day.

Today (Sunday) promises a more relaxed but equally lively vibe as the festival shifts into family mode. Clayton Stevens and Band, Sophia Soul, The Pride, and Funk Odyssey are just some of the performers bringing soulful sounds to the stage.

Alongside the music, today will feature a range of activities for all ages, with face painting, games, arts and crafts, and a wide selection of food and drink stalls.

Whether you’re dancing to funk classics or tucking into street food with the kids, the festival’s Family Day offers a perfect way to round off the weekend.

Day two of the Original Culture Festival begins at 2pm. Tickets are available at the door or at their website. Parking is available at the Bedford International Athletic Stadium, located on Barkers Lane.
